Latifa offers authentic Moroccan cooking classes where you learn how to cook traditional Moroccan dishes and experience the friendly hospitality of a Moroccan family kitchen. This is a rare opportunity for visitors to get a real flavor of local life in Essaouira.
What will your class be like?
Your class will start in the souk (market)! You will learn how to select fresh spices; choose fish, chicken or meat at the market; pick up hot bread from bakery; and find the freshest herbs and vegetables. You will buy everything you need to prepare your recipes in the traditional shops and markets of Essouira.
Once you have all you need for your selected dishes, you will head off to my family home to start the hands-on process. Our house is located in the center of Essaouira. This is not a cooking demonstration! It is a hands-on activity. I will explain the process but you will complete each step personally. The entire cooking experience takes around 4 hours.
Finally, when everything is ready, you will enjoy what you have created.
